LEADERSHIP​
Advanced Civil Design was founded in 2002 by Thomas Warner, James Whitacre, and Douglas Hock. Each serves as a principal in the firm and oversees client projects. The partners' combined experience ranges from commercial projects such as distribution centers and office complexes to large-scale residential and multi-family developments and public roadway projects. With more than 60 years of combined professional experience, the firm's principals bring a diverse mix of civil engineering, surveying and land development experience to client projects.

Advanced Civil Design, Inc. is a consulting civil engineering and surveying firm, headquartered just outside Columbus in Gahanna, Ohio. ACD also has an office in Cary, North Carolina, serving the Raleigh-Durham metro area.
ACD has multi-faceted expertise in a number of civil design and survey disciplines including Energy, Residential, Public Works, Commercial and Medical. Our experience includes processing plants, multi-family developments, subdivisions, public roadway projects, utilities, parks, office complexes, distribution centers, hospitals, and assisted-living facilities. ACD provides comprehensive services in each of these categories focused on the “speed to market” approach which has served our clients so well through the years. Our goal is to provide our clients the highest level of service by adhering to project schedules, executing within budget goals and maintaining clear and open communications channels.
